Elias Robles is a Mexican American performer, born and raised in Los Angeles. His career began at the Robles Theatre where he forced his family to sit through hour-long one-man spectacles. Credits include: Throughly Modern Elias (the entire cast), The Phantom of the Opera (the entire cast), and The Nutcracker (the entire company).
Elias studies musical theatre at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He recently directed a production of Amélie through Earthstone Theatre Co., combining live and filmed elements to bring an abstract version of Paris to life. He also helped devise and originated the role of Oscar in Piggy Wants To Fly, a play about pigeons. As a Latin artist, he prioritizes working in and shaping spaces that are diverse and inclusive, celebrating his and other’s culture through storytelling.
His love for camp and absurdism has shaped his artistic taste. Elias' passion for world building continues to carry his work as an actor and creator. He strives to share his abstract outlook on art and life with anyone open to experiencing it. He recently debuted his drag persona, Odella Tea; an erratic mother adjacent to Aunt Gladys from Weapons.
Outside of the theatre, Elias can be found in the kitchen experimenting with new food and drink recipes. His prized possessions are his CD/record collection of over 300 albums and his stuffed duck, Pio.
